OLED+959 – A true flagship

As the flagship in the 2024 Ambilight TV range, the OLED+959 remains the definitive, market leading premium TV thanks to the new, powerful twin chip version of the P5 AI processor combined with META Technology 2.0, the new Ambilight Plus system and an integrated Bowers & Wilkins TV 5.1.2 sound system.

The Ambilight Plus system builds on the sophistication of the Next Gen version by adding multiple lenses to the individual rear-mounted colour LEDs.

Ambilight Plus can create a more dynamic, larger overall halo with more resolution and can project up to four different halos at different depths to add a new two-dimensional impact to the overall immersive effect.

The stunning images displayed by the OLED+959 are a result of the unique combination of the additional power of the 8th Gen P5 AI Dual Engine processor and the improvements made to the META 2.0 OLED panel and META Multi Booster algorithm.

The powerful 8th Gen P5 AI Dual Engine processor includes the new Ambient Intelligence V3, AI Machine Learn Sharpness V2 system and Smart Bit Enhancement algorithm (V3).

Ambient Intelligence V3 now includes optimisation of HDR to the ambient light level, to ensure exceptional HDR performance can be maintained in bright viewing conditions, while maintaining the director’s creative intent in darker rooms. AI Machine Sharpness V2 uses new algorithms and the additional power of the new twin chip P5 AI to create more detailed and super realistic pictures while the new Smart Bit Enhancement V3 algorithm extends 8-bit video to near 14-bits precision.

The META 2.0 OLED panel now features Micro Lens Array Plus technology with an improved light efficiency increasing output thanks to new 3D MLA lens analysis equipment that optimises the angles and curvature of the MLA Lenses. The inclusion of the new META Multi Booster algorithm allows peak brightness to reach up to 3000 Nits – a new high for OLED technology.

Naturally, as the flagship of the range, the OLED+959 also offers market leading TV sound quality thanks to a new Bowers & Wilkins 5.1.2 integrated sound system all discreetly housed within the set’s slimline silhouette.

Gaming has also been enhanced thanks to the inclusion of a new Game Bar, the MEMC feature and 144Hz VRR including for Dolby Vision Gaming.

The new Game Bar is designed to allow gamers to quickly customise, enhance and monitor the gaming experience. Whether that’s fast-paced FPS, where latency and precision are everything, to a more lean-back cinematic RPG, gamers can choose the corresponding game profile and with a couple of key presses, picture, sound and Ambilight settings are all adjusted.

Gamers can also activate different picture enhancements, to provide a more immersive, more focused, and fun gaming experience. HDMI audio/video status information is also monitored and offers a discreet FPS indicator to monitor the performance of the selected gaming setup.

MEMC allows gamers to activate the Smooth option from the sets P5 AI motion processing to enjoy in judder free motion and now with minimal latency – reduced from 200ms to 40ms.

The slimline OLED+959 will be available in one screen size of 65” and has the option of wall mounting or alternatively floor standing via it’s minimalist, mid-slate gray metal stand.

All of the forward, side and up-firing speaker enclosures are also covered in a slate grey Kvadrat Audiomix cloth.

OLED+909 – Exceptional performance, more discrete design

Available in 55”, 65’ and 77” screen sizes, the OLED+909 continues the popular OLED+ trend of offering very high specification picture and sound technology, all carefully integrated into the TV to ensure a minimalist design no bigger than a conventional set but while still offering exceptional picture and audio performance.

As an OLED+ model the OLED+909 combines the latest 8th Gen P5 AI processing with a META 2.0 OLED panel and META Multi Booster algorithm plus a Bowers & Wilkins 3.1 sound system – featuring newly designed slimmer 30 x 50mm drivers to offer a more discreet profile without compromising on audio performance.

The 8th Gen P5 AI features the new Ambient Intelligence V3 feature that now optimizes HDR settings to the ambient light level and maintains an excellent HDR performance even in bright viewing conditions.

Gaming is also enhanced thanks to the inclusion of the new Game Bar, MEMC gaming and 144Hz VRR.

The exceptional viewing experience of great pictures and sound is made uniquely immersive by the addition of a four-sided version of the Ambilight system.

The OLED+909 has a minimalist, metal frame bezel with the frontal sound system integrated along the bottom of the screen and covered in Kvadrat Audiomix cloth. The stand comprises two ‘pill’ shaped, low-profile, extruded metal feet in a black sheen finish.

OLED809 – The highest performance from mid-range OLED TVs

The Philips OLED 800 Series has consistently proven to be one of the most popular OLED ranges thanks to its combination of Ambilight with premium PQ and audio performance in a mid-range OLED set.

Available in 42”, 48”, 55”, 65” and 77” screen sizes the new OLED809 continues to set the sector performance standard by combining the new 8th Gen P5 AI processor with new higher output OLED_EX panels – offering a peak light output of 1300 Nits – and a three-sided version of immersive Ambilight technology.

The 8th Gen P5 AI features the new Ambient Intelligence V3 feature that now optimizes HDR settings to the ambient light level and maintains an excellent HDR performance even in bright viewing conditions.

Gaming is also enhanced thanks to the inclusion of the new Game Bar, MEMC gaming and 144Hz VRR including Dolby Vision Gaming.

Excellent sound quality continues to be a highlight of the range thanks to an integrated 70W 2.1 sound system – 50W for the 42” – with a more accurate digital crossover precisely controlling the distribution to the two-way left and right speakers, plus a dedicated triple ring, rear facing bass driver – supported by four passive radiators.

The minimalist design of the OLED809 includes an ultra-thin, black metal bezel and a central, metal delta swivel stand in a satin chrome finish. Extruded metal Pill feet in Satin Chrome are featured on the 77” model.

PML9009 – An Xtra Mini-LED

Having successfully launched ‘The Xtra’ series in 2023, TP Vision continues to develop Mini-LED options in its range with the launch of the new PML9009 – which continues the Mini-LED option of offering excellent performance and outstanding value with product performance quality sitting just below the OLED models, but above the premium
LED sets.

The PML9009 will be offered in 55” 65” & 75” screen sizes and as the first Philips Mini-LED TV available as an 85” model.

The PM9009 offers an excellent performance thanks to the inclusion of the latest P5 processor combined with a top quality, 144Hz 98% DCI WCG panel – producing an impressive 1000 Nits peak light output.

The truly immersive viewing experience is completed by the inclusion of a three-sided version of the Ambilight system.

The 8909 features a minimal anthracite grey metal bezel with a brushed effect to the lower edge of the screen with the swivel delta stand also finished in anthracite grey, with twin anthracite grey turned metal ‘pill’ feet for the 75” model.
