OLED811 – mid-range OLED TV delivers high-end PQ performance
The Philips OLED800 Series has remained an outright winner with customers looking for a mid-range OLED TV that gives the PQ performance normally reserved for high-end OLED sets.
With the OLED811, performance quality has been improved once again thanks to the set’s unique combination of new higher output OLED_EX panels, Dolby Vision 2 MAX compatibility, 10th Gen P5 AI processing and immersive Ambilight technology.
Available in June for the 55”set, in August for the 42”, 48” and 65 screen sizes and September for the 77”. The OLED811’s OLED_EX panels will offer an increased peak light output of 2500 Nits for the 55”, 65” & 77” versions and with an excellent colour gamut of 98.5% DCI P3.
Dolby Vision 2 Max features a Next Gen Dolby Image Engine with new AI powered Content Intelligence to automatically give the best presentation of all Dolby TV content, fine-tuned to the specific device and the viewing environment.
Dolby Content Intelligence includes new Precision Black and Light Sense features plus enhanced Sports and Gaming Optimisation while Dolby tone mapping allows high-performance TVs to deliver higher brightness, sharper contrast, and deeply saturated colours – while preserving the artist’s creative vision.
Dolby Vision 2 Max also includes an Authentic Motion feature, the world’s first creative driven motion control tool to make scenes feel more authentically cinematic without unwanted judder on a shot-by-shot basis.
The 10th Gen P5 AI processing offers improved, more precise AI HDR tone mapping, resulting in higher contrast, better highlights without clipping and deeper dark scenes without losing detail in the darkest parts of the image. A new AI HDR expansion/restore feature will use frame-by-frame analysis to measure the incoming HDR signal and restore the original light output of the content, matched to the peak light output of the display.
The adoption of the powerful MediaTek Pentonic 800 chipset also allows the OLED811 to offer four HDMI 2.1 connectors.
Three-sided Ambilight continues to offer a uniquely immersive viewing experience that now includes the new AmbiScape feature to extend the ambient lighting effect into the viewing area by connecting the OLED811 to up to four external Smart lights.
Gamers can enjoy HDR10+ gaming and both FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility, while the max refresh rate has been increased to 165Hz. Personalised gaming continues to be a focus for the OLED range. Gamers can continue to make & save customisations and enhancements for individual games via the game bar and the auto detection facility which includes additional HDR10+ titles to list of compatible popular games.
The sound quality of the OLED811 is also excellent thanks to an integrated 70W 2.2 sound system – 50W for the 42” – with an accurate digital crossover precisely controlling the distribution to the two-way left and right speakers, while the previous single bass drive has been replaced by two smaller bass drivers each mounted in their own separate re-designed enclosures. The smaller, slimmer repositioned drivers also allow for a much slimer profile for the set without reducing audio performance.
The OLED811 also features the latest version of the TitanOS Smart TV platform. In addition to offering a huge range of local market content, TitanOS includes access to all of the major content providers including: Disney+, HBO Max, Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video – with Apple TV due to be available from Spring 2026. TitanOS is also compatible with Google Assistant, ‘Works with Alexa’, Apple AirPlay 2 and Control 4.
The minimalist design of the OLED811 includes an ultra-thin, black metal bezel and a central, ‘circle cut’ swivel-stand in a satin chrome finish. Alternatively, narrow metal angled feet are finished in a satin chrome and featured on the 77” model.
OLED761 – New levels of OLED excellence, same outstanding value
The Philips OLED700 series continues to offer outstanding value delivered by a package that includes excellent picture quality, good sound performance and the unique immersive viewing of Ambilight, and all offered at a highly competitive price.
Launched in June for the 55”, August for the 65” and October for the 77” screen size, the OLED761 features, a high-quality OLED SE panel – with a peak light output of 1000 Nits – plus high-performance 7th Gen P5 AI processing.
Three-sided Ambilight continues to offer a uniquely immersive viewing experience that now includes the new AmbiScape feature to extend the ambient lighting effect into the viewing area by connecting the OLED761 to up to external Smart lights.
Sound quality is enhanced by the Intellisound engine – and a 2.2. system on the 77” model – that uses AI to detect content type and automatically applies the preferred sound profiles for each type of content.
The 761 also features slimmer repositioned drives that allow for a slimmer profile for the set but without reducing audio performance.
The OLED761 also features the latest version of the TitanOS Smart TV platform.
Gamers can now enjoy HDR10+ gaming and both Free sync Premium and G-Sync compatibility with four HDMI 2.1 inputs all offering a full bandwidth connection 48-120Hz.
The OLED761 features a minimalist design with an ultra-thin, black metal bezel and slim, metal angled feet in a satin chrome finish.
MLED981 – RGB Mini-LED Technology offers a premium choice
The new MLED981 is the latest set in The Xtra series and the first Philips TV to feature
RGB Mini-LED technology, to continue TP Vision’s policy of offering Mini-LED models positioned as having a performance level clearly above the top premium QLED sets but slightly below the 800 & 900 Series OLED models.
Launched in October, the MLED981will be available in an 85”screen size and offers an exceptional performance thanks to the inclusion of the 10th Gen AI P5 processor combined with Dolby Vision 2 MAX compatibility and a top quality, 165Hz 97% DCI WCG panel.
The RGB Mini-LED backlight includes 11,520 zones and offers an impressive peak light output of 2500 Nits – with the decision made to focus on overall picture quality with better control of halos and motion artefacts rather than drive a higher peak output.
The 10th Gen P5 AI processing offers improved, more precise AI HDR tone mapping, resulting in more contrast, better highlights without clipping and deeper dark scenes without losing detail. A new AI HDR expansion/restore feature will use frame-by-frame analysis to measure the incoming HDR signal and restore the original light output of the content, matched to the peak light output of the display.
Three-sided Ambilight continues to offer a uniquely immersive viewing experience that now includes the new AmbiScape feature to extend the ambient lighting effect into the viewing area by connecting the MLED981 to up to four external Smart lights.
The MLED981 also features the latest version of the TitanOS Smart TV platform.
Gamers can enjoy HDR10+ gaming plus FreeSync Premium Pro compatibility while a DLG feature offers the choice of increasing refresh rates to 330Hz for a small reduction in vertical resolution.
The adoption of the powerful MediaTek Pentonic 800 chipset also allows the MLED981 to offer four HDMI 2.1 connectors with an extended bandwidth (48-330Hz).
Sound quality is also excellent with the MLED981 featuring a 70W, 4.1 sound system, with two down and two side firing drivers plus a rear mounted sub-woofer.
The slim-line set features an extra-narrow metal bezel frame with a thin brushed strip across the bottom of the screen to match the ultra slim, metal ‘edge’ arched feet, all in a Satin Chrome Sheen finish.
QLED PQS9001 – It’s never been easier to choose ‘The One’
The PQS9001 is the latest series to continue the hugely popular concept of ‘The One’, by offering consumers the easy choice of selecting a TV with the performance and key features of a high-end set but at a competitive mid-range price – with the Philips TV brand providing the confidence that exhaustive research is not always required!
The PQS9001 QLED series will launch in June in 43” 50”, 55, 65” and 75” screen sizes with the 85” and 100” models following in October. All offer excellent TV picture quality thanks to the combination of a 7th Gen P5 processor, Dolby Vision 2 compatibility and a high quality, 144Hz WCG LCD QD panel.
The truly immersive viewing experience is completed by the inclusion of a three-sided version of the Ambilight system including the new AmbiScape feature.
The 9001 Series also features the latest version of the TitanOS Smart TV platform.
Sound quality is excellent throughout the range thanks to the Intellisound engine. The 43” model offers a 20W 2.0 system, the 50”, 55” & 65” sets have a 40W 4.0 system while the 75”, 85” and 100” sets include 50W 2.1 systems.
By carefully repositioning new smaller and slimmer speaker drivers the 9001 reduces in size from having a two-step, rear profile with a maximum depth of 79.9mm to a single step rear with a maximum depth of just 53mm but without impacting on audio performance quality.
Gamers can enjoy HDR10+ gaming plus FreeSync Premium compatibility while a DLG feature – excluding the 43” set – offers the gamers the choice of increasing refresh rates to 240Hz for a small reduction in vertical resolution.
The adoption of the powerful MediaTek Pentonic 800 chipset also allows the PQS9001 to also offer four HDMI connectors with an extended bandwidth (48-240Hz).
The 9001’s design features a minimal bezel – reduced from 17.6mm depth to just 8.7mm – with a narrow strip on the lower edge of the screen finished in gun metal grey to match the narrow, ‘float’ feet design. The 75”, 85” & 100” versions feature a metal lower bezel strip and have low profile metal feet also finished in gun metal.
