DJ and producer Patrice Bäumel creates a unique composition for exclusive deep-listening experience during Amsterdam Dance Event – Guests can enjoy this deep-listening experience powered by Philips Sound for free at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam on October 15 and 16.

Amsterdam, 30 September, 2021

Philips TV & Sound joins forces with Audio Obscura to create a brand new musical experience called ‘Into Light’ during Amsterdam Dance Event. During the experience, visitors can enjoy 20 minutes of full focus, and distinctively compressed music produced by DJ and producer Patrice Bäumel. The deep-listening experience can be found at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam on October 15 and 16 and is free to visit for everyone.

People listen to music while working, exercising or traveling, but listening to music with full focus is something that is becoming rarer on a daily basis. However, music is a very powerful tool which creates dopamine, the hormone responsible for feelings of happiness and satisfaction in the brain. Philips therefore believes it is an important stimulus for relaxation and has decided to bring DJ and producer Patrice Bäumel and event organiser Audio Obscura together to create a unique music experience that encourages visitors to surrender themselves completely to the sounds of music.

Patrice Bäumel

The music is composed by Patrice Bäumel. Originally from Germany, the DJ and techno producer is one of the most influential DJs in the Netherlands and brings deep accumulated life experience and depth into his music. Patrice Bäumel, who made his name at club Trouw, is signed to the famous German Kompakt label, and can now regularly be found at the top of Beatport charts. On the collaboration Patrice Bäumel said:

“Amsterdam Dance Event is one of my favourite times of the year because for a week the city is all about electronic music. Although this year we celebrate ADE differently than we had hoped, I am happy that I have been able to create a unique experience to let people enjoy my track in full focus. This piece is about a journey that begins in darkness and slowly builds its way into a euphoric crescendo of light, positivity, optimism and love. A guiding light out of the difficult times we live in accompanying us into a bright future”.

Crystal clear sound

Philips has created a unique listening experience with its latest Fidelio L-3 headphones, allowing music lovers to enjoy the music with a crystal-clear sound during the ‘Into Light’ immersion. The headphones completely isolate visitors from the outside world, allowing them to relish the deep-listening experience undisturbed.

Register for free

‘Into Light’ can be found at the Bimhuis on Piet Heinkade 3 in Amsterdam. Tickets are free of charge, but registration is required. Visitors can book a free 20-minute timeslot via this link.

The experience is open from 12:00 (noon) to 17:00 during Amsterdam Dance Event on October 15 and 16 and can be visited by anyone aged 12 and older. The experience conforms to the guidelines of the RIVM, a vaccination certificate or negative test result is required.
