The Wings for Life World Run event continues to go from strength to strength with record number of participants joining the global event last Sunday, May 7. The 2023 event was the 10th so far, with 206.728 participants from 192 nations joining runs in 165 countries all around the world.

TP Vision joined both as the event’s Global Sports Headphone Partner, and through multiple company teams joining as active participants in locations throughout the world. Philips Sports Headphones were the runners’ favorite adding to the experience of such a Global connected event.

Wings for Life is a not-for-profit foundation supporting research projects and clinical studies worldwide with the goal of finding a cure for spinal cord injury. The Wings for Life World Run event has been held every year since 2014 with hundreds of thousands of people globally running on behalf of those who can’t.

Everyone gets to finish, and this year the worldwide participants covered an impressive 1.573.221 kilometres before the Catcher Car – the moving finishing line – caught and passed them. All results are available to see at www.wingsforlifeworldrun.com.

Over 500 TPV employees and 50 participants from company partners joined in to actively run at the 10th event.

National TP Vision teams also helped to organise local events where participants could run together. Local runs were organised in Miami, Paris, Rotterdam, Sao Paulo, Poznan in Poland and Fredericia in Denmark, to mention a few. And as the Wings for Life World Run Global Headphones Partner, TP Vision made Philips Sport headphones available for many participants to try while completing their local run.
