THE PHILIPS 65PUS7601 RECEIVES THE EISA AWARD FOR EUROPEAN BEST BUY LARGE SCREEN TV 2016-2017

Amsterdam 15th August, 2016 –The outstanding, market leading picture quality of the latest Philips TVs has been acknowledged once again by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) who have voted the Philips 65PUS7601 as their EUROPEAN BEST BUY LARGE SCREEN TV for 2016-2017.

The 65PUS7601 features many of the PQ technologies normally reserved for the company’s award winning, hi-end 9000 series products. Bringing new levels of performance to the mid-market while setting new standards overall for the sector. The 65PUS7601 is the first Philips HDR set to feature both HDR Premium and HDR Upscaling.

The EISA team made particular reference to 7601’s sophisticated direct LED backlight system with its 128 segments for local dimming which brought stable, deep blacks and detailed shadows to the sharp Ultra HD image.

They also commended the adjustable Perfect Natural Motion settings – that let users tune the picture to their taste- a 10-bit panel that supports HDR sources plus the punchy sound quality, the Android Smart TV system, the advanced remote control and three sided Ambilight all of which combined to give the most convincing large scale movie and TV play back experience.

All -in-all the 7601 was voted: ‘an impressive TV’.

Philips 65PUS7601: EUROPEAN BEST BUY TV 2016-2017

The 65PUS760 is a premium quality ultra-slim 4K TV featuring the best of European design finished in natural materials including an aluminum bezel and unique chrome open frame stands specially designed for the set.

The picture performance of the 7601 can be described as exceptional thanks to the inclusion the sophisticated direct dimmable LED backlight and the award winning Perfect Pixel Ultra HD engine.

The 65PUS7601 also comes with the 3-sided version of Philips unique Ambilight system that casts a continually changing halo of colour, precisely matching the on-screen image, on to the wall behind the set. The result is an image that appears to extend beyond the boundaries of the TV, creating a more immersive experience, with less eye strain and a perceived improvement in contrast – further boosted by the Micro Dimming Premium technology.

The 7601 series is powered by the Android Smart TV system which in combination with Philips’ quad core processor delivers a fast experience for any one of the hundreds of apps and games found on the Google Play Store.

Sound quality easily matches the on-screen images thanks to a powerful 30W output and the inclusion of the unique and patented Philips Double Ring technology that allows such a slim TV to produce deep bass and crisp, clear mid and high range sound.
