Amsterdam, August 27th, 2014 –TP Vision has become the world’s first TV manufacturer to integrate Spotify Connect into its Philips Smart TVs. Thanks to Connect, Spotify Premium users can play all the music from Spotify on Philips TVs powered by Android and control it wirelessly from their mobiles or tablets. Spotify Connect on Philips TVs powered by Android will become available as from September.

Easy access to over 20 million songs

Spotify Connect allows you to control the music on your Philips TV powered by Android using your phone or tablet. You can seamlessly switch from headphones to TV, and you control the music from the Spotify app on any smartphone or tablet. You can make calls, use other smartphone apps and go out of Wi-Fi range, all without interrupting the music.

Spotify Connect is integrated into Philips TVs powered by Android

All Philips TVs powered by Android have Spotify Connect integrated. When using a smartphone or tablet together with the TV, users can enjoy the same features that are available today through the Spotify Premium service, including access to Playlists, Browse, Radio and Your Music – making it easy for users to enjoy Spotify’s catalogue of over 20 million songs. Users can also use their Philips TV remote control to control playback. TP Vision offers a broad range of Philips TVs that are powered by Android to give consumers great choice.
