Amsterdam, 31st August, 2012 – Today, TP Vision announced the availability of a new advertisement software development kit (SDK) for its Philips Smart TV offering. The SDK allows content service providers the integration of Smart TV ads into their services on Philips Smart TV platform. The SDK is supported by JustAd’s Rich Media authoring technology, which makes the creation of rich media advertisements easy. Standardisation ensures best possible user experience
TP Vision wants to provide an excellent user experience and therefore the ads will be standardised so that users always know how to interact with them. The SDK is also the first to support the creation of fully interactive advertisements – as the creation and display of Rich Media ads has not been available on Smart TVs until now.
Easy implementation for content service providers
The SDK has been developed by JustAd with ease of implementation in mind. It supports most of the existing ad standards including VAST. Volkswagen to use interactive ads on Philips Smart TV
Volkswagen will be the first premium brand to use this new advertisement system to promote Volkswagen TV and will launch a
campaign to unveil a new Volkswagen car on November 1st. Mark Gruszka, Consumer Interaction Management at Volkswagen said: “Like Philips, VW is a quality brand with great design credentials. Promoting our brand via Philips Smart TV platform is an exciting new way to reach our target audience and expand our marketing mix.”
