• Helps the different customers in executing the different tests on the targets delivered for testing by active communication
• Supports the development team and certification manager in actively monitoring and changing the development plan
• Writes additional development and test specifications when needed or at least recommend these to requirements
• As a senior field application engineer, you are able to develop sustainable solutions and integrate the solution in the test software and the overall development process. To reach there you establish adequate communication to the different development teams and you drive to a solution.
• Has reliable knowledge allowing the organization to bank on his/her test results and negotiation ability to prove to a lab/operator that when he/she executes a test, the operator/lab should have the same test result.

• Prepare and organize work environment in the development field.
• Review of operator specific requirements documents and test specifications.
• Define, prepare, introduce and steer required innovative test equipment (tools, streams, etc.).
• Prepare and execute subset of system validation activities specific to the field issue and innovation.
• Write problem reports and report on product quality. Take care of reproducibility, record streams, take dumps, describe TV conditions, and upload material.
• Communicates actively with the different customers in the field (end customers, test labs, certification houses, etc.).

• Bachelor or Master level education in Engineering/IT or has reached this level through another form of training or experience in an innovative R&D environment.
• Have a good DTV/DVB feature knowledge.
• Have a good Data networking feature knowledge.
• Are good in basic communication towards external partners and internal teams.
• Are result driven and can work independently.
• Are passionate by innovation and high-end technology.
• Are flexible and willing to travel on short notice.
• Reports issues back to the development teams and certification project managers.

Problem Solving

• As field application engineer (FAE), you are able to do a first line analysis on the issue reported. You need to be analytic to deduct where issues can be located, and give possible proposals where potential solutions can be found towards the development teams.

Accountability

• In the development process you’re responsible for the certification support during the certification period.
