Scope

As a major player in Signage and Hospitality industry, our B2B serves customers worldwide with Signage, LED and Hospitality TV products. The division serves a variety of B2B markets like Hospitality, Healthcare, Public venues, Transportation, Corporate, Education, Retail and Food & Beverage.

The Customer Application & Customer Support Engineer is responsible for timely and high-quality end to end product and application support for LED, Signage monitors and Hospitality TV and related products.

Main application support related responsibilities are specialist knowledge in the applications of Signage Monitor products, Hospitality TV and LED, including interfaces, devices, and software specific to this business.

Main customer support related responsibilities are support to customers in the field using our products, as well as performing fast feedback towards product development & Service.

The job has primary focus on customer support for Signage Monitors, Hospitality TV and LED, but both fields need to be covered.

Responsibility

Application Support

  •  Assist in designing new or adapting existing solutions to customer specific applications
  •  Provide 2nd level field support to B2B customers in the case of technical queries or issues
  •  Review and provide input towards product CRS
  •  Execute regional application releases with Customers and cooperate with the Development Centre & suppliers in product debugging
  •  Arrange trials, product evaluation, exhibitions and training for internal as well as external people

 

Customer support

  •  Organize and solve field complaints
  •  Provide 2nd line support for the helpdesk
  •  Organize rework actions
  •  Monitor and verify software improvements and communicate towards customers
  •  Knowledge transfer to Service regarding field complaints
  •  Administrate customer support database
  •  Field status reporting on regular base
  •  Organize internal stock and stock for exhibitions

Education And Related Experience
  • Technical education (Bachelor or Master degree) with about 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of electronics, basic software & IT (TCP/IP)
  • Good knowledge of web design and web support tools. IP network knowledge
  • Familiar with software/ hardware applications testing and debugging
  • Knowledge of Signage Monitor and/or TV systems is a strong advantage
  • Native German speaker (fluency in the German language, both verbal and written, is a must) en fluent in English. 
  • Customer oriented. Team player. Hands-on mentality
  • A result driven, proactive approach
  • Someone who can explain the problem well to customers, but also has the technical knowledge to solve it.
  • Drivers license required, share location between ISE HQ in Ghent Belgium (50%) and supporting DACH region (50%). You can expect to be physically present in Ghent for about 3 days a month, while the rest can be done hybrid from Germany. 
  • It is obvious that you don't mind traveling by car ;-)
