Purpose Of The Position

We value innovation, agility, execution and accountability. Hence we are looking for an IT Specialist who can easily identify with these characteristics and effectively handle IT issues relevant for smooth data processing. As part of our organization, you need to analyze technical problems, troubleshoot and make decision towards correct solutions, having good time management and project management skills to perform the support activities for an environment with approx. 350 PC’s (notebooks - Desktops –workstations with sometimes different operating system (HW and SW)

Furthermore you will also take on a few management task next to the technical hands-on skills and travel down to some of our satellite sites in Europe (eg: Germany/Spain/Italy/France etc).

You’ll be operating as a first line contact/support desk for all the employees. A large proportion of the job requires talking to users directly or via telephone or Lync working in a busy (sometimes high pressure) helpdesk environment managing efficient and effectively the resolution of support issues that are reported. These issues can be analysing and resolving faults ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password.

  • Acting as a technical authority, providing expertise to vendors as well as towards IT team members (local and globally);
  • Registering and follow up of IT service tickets, regular updating local IT assets into the database and generating IT reports and overviews for global purpose;
  • Troubleshooting problems and providing advice on the appropriate action towards 2nd and 3rd line support teams;
  • Handling administration for handout of newly delivered IT equipment to users;
  • Follow-up of aging tickets and report to supervisor if not timely solved;
  • Keeping users informed in a professional manner ensuring accuracy of detail;
  • Physical Asset management (PC’s, Monitors, Keyboards, Cables, Equipment and accessories...);
  • Keeping track on frequently appearing incidents and reports to Helpdesk coordinator;
  • Helping to find proper solutions for underlying problems;
  • Installing, supporting and providing routine maintenance to hardware and software.

Education And Related Experience
  • Advanced knowledge on English Language.
  • Previous experience in IT support – at least 4 years in IT role.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of Active Directory, exchange mailbox administration.
  • Good knowledge of Routers, Firewalls, Switches, VPN devices and wireless and other networking technologies.
  • Good understanding of Audio/Video technologies and experience of their administration.
  • Strong understanding of backups and restoration methods.
  • Strong understanding of NTFS and share permissions on previous & current Windows Server environments.

Good to have
Windows 8, Window 10, Mac advantages.
MS Office 2016 to advanced level.
DNS, group policies, domain controllers –basic.
Windows Server 2008 administration, build and maintenance.
Knowledge of Sharepoint, Avaya PBX.
