MMD serves worldwide markets from major regional offices including Amsterdam, Prague, Shanghai, Singapore, São Paulo and Fremont (EPI). Through its network of local sales teams MMD works with all major IT distributors and resellers. The company’s design and development center is located in Taiwan.

Purpose Of The Position

Due to a maternity leave, we are looking for an Logistics Specialist who will be located in the Amsterdam Office.  The role itself has a coordinating function between order desk, planning, our 4PL  warehouse in Poland and the customer.

In this role the Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring a seamless & effective container inbound process, stock management / comparison, as in addition also being parallel responsible for item set up, and the coordination of our month end closure process.

The Logistics Specialist reports to the logistics lead.


Logistics Management:

  • Daily stock comparison between our local AMS SAP and the WHS Sap system
  • ASN Creation of our inbound sea freight container flow and inbound airfreight container flow
  • Returns management & coordination
  • Delivery list processing in SAP (sending and coordinating all outbound orders via EDI to our 4PL Warehouse)
  • Month closure coordination (end of month reporting, month end schedule creation)


Freight Management:

  • Alignment and coordination of urgent shipments inbound via air or outbound via road transport
  • Analysing hub reports and following up with our European sales team
  • Act as an escalation point concerning “late or no slot” deliveries within the EU

Education And Related Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required
  • 2 – 5 years of experience supporting a sales process or other closely related function in a fast-paced, rapidly changing and dynamic corporate environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel
  • High knowledge of SAP
  • Strong analysis skills
