Prague (Czech Republic) - Based within the European SSC based in Prague, we do search for Interim Collections Manager heading the Collections team for the whole Europe. The position is open for period of 6 months (back-up for parental leave). Collections Manager leads & organizes the collections and queries activities with the team of 13 people (AR balances open between 150-200 mln EUR), ensuring prioritisation for actions across customer portfolio & effectiveness of the teams.The end goal is to collect the whole cash in time, with limited overdues and write-offs. The Interim Collections manager is responsible for the overall collection services and manages the relationships towards customers & Sales organisations.

  • Overlook Cash Collection and Query management process
  • Check if the processes are executed in line with Collection policy, propose the changes in the processes, if needed
  • Deliver operational results / KPIs as per targets (DSO, AR Aging/Exposure, % of unsolved claims, AR balance confirmation letters)
  • Secure good communication with relevant stakeholders (Customers, Sales director, KAMs, Consumer care, Legal, Order Fulfilment, Credit risk team, Cash application)
  • Securing that Monthly review meetings with Sales organisation are in place (ensure visibility around customer payment behaviour, adherence to agreed payments plans, discipline around payments terms and credit limits. Ensure proper and timely escalation process is in place, including credit block scenarios, with possible pre-payments, legal actions, late payment interests)
  • Ensuring periodic review meetings with Credit risk controllers are done
  • People management - oversee Cash collection team operations from a strategic perspective, define priority areas
  • Regular meetings with the team and two supervisors (1-to-1), coaching of supervisors
  • Support the team in change management
  • Compliance - ensure strong internal controls are in place, to achieve strong and compliant internal and external audit outcome.
  • Accurate and timely month-end reporting and ensuring meeting all corporate deadlines.
  • External & Internal audit - secure GL accounts related to AR are underpinned
  • Secure that revenue samples are delivered on time

Education And Related Experience
  • University degree preferably in Finance/Accounting/Economics
  • Minimum 8 years experience in finance, 5 years in Credit & Collection
  • Strong SAP and MS Excel knowledge
  • Fluent in English
  • Previous team leading and people management experience of medium to large teams; ability to transfer management skills into remote home working teams management
  • Ready to be responsible for delivering results. Comfortable accepting stretch goals and willing to make decisions even in ambiguous situations
  • Critical thinker with a big picture orientation, combined with strong analytical skills
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to develop and deploy the new processes and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - ability to present, interact, explain, and negotiate with diverse audience including internal stakeholders like Sales directors/KAMs as well as external customers
  • Open minded, change agent
  • Team oriented in the international environment
