The Facility Manager assures the effective functioning of our office(s) to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the company.

Purpose Of The Position

The main purpose of this role is as a temporary support to ensure a swift inter office move but also to “set up shop” as a basis for the future.

  • Developing and implementing a facility management program including preventative maintenance, life-cycle requirements and contract management as a basis for years to come
  • Coordinating intra-office move and allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
  • Planning and managing facility central services such as security, cleaning, mail services and parking
  • Calculating and comparing costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness and negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost saving
  • Managing and reviewing existing service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met. Liaise with the Legal Department to ensure a proper contract management is in place.
  • Verifying payment and invoicing match contract pricing and monitor expenses and payments
  • Generating reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases
  • Responding to facility and equipment alarms and system failures

Education And Related Experience
  • Bachelor degree in Facilities Management (HBO) or related qualification such as project management
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management
  • Working knowledge of financial principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of human resource management principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of procurement and contracts
  • Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Experience in maintenance and all facets of facility operation
  • Solid computer and systems knowledge
