About MMD

MMD is a wholly owned company of TPV Technology established in 2009 through a brand license agreement with Philips. MMD exclusively markets and sells Philips branded LCD displays worldwide. MMD serves worldwide markets from major regional offices including Amsterdam, Prague, Shanghai, Singapore, São Paulo and Fremont (EPI). Through its network of local sales teams MMD works with all major IT distributors and resellers. The company’s design and development center is located in Taiwan.

Purpose Of The Position

As a Commercial Controller at TP Vision / MMD you are an important link between our management, sales, operations and finance department and headquarter in Taiwan. One of the main goals is to bring alignment within the organization and identify, analyze and specify the requirements of the business. You will be based in Amsterdam and reporting to the Manager of Commercial Control Europe.

  • Performing detailed analysis of business performance in products, segments and regions
  • Maintaining and developing product/sales databases and mastering data relevant files for performing meaningful business analysis
  • Producing and analyzing weekly-monthly reports like sales report, margin report and sales-accruals reports
  • Reporting the achievement of quarterly KPI for the sales teams
  • Preparing the budget and forecasts 
  • Supporting the main controller and global manager in ad-hoc analysis (e.g. market sizing, potential analysis, market share analysis, trend analysis, cost development) on strategic projects and in several tasks as budgeting, forecasting, reports reconciliation, etc. 
  • Processing documentation tasks and business flows 
  • Extracting and processing Credit notes to customers. ( in collaboration with our Shared Service Centre in Prague
  • Reporting to the Manager of Commercial Control and frequent contact with European Sales Director and Country Sales Directors

Preferred Skills
  • 3 years’ work experience in the field of Business Analysis, Management Accounting/Controlling 
  • Expert Excel user and very good knowledge of databases, pivot tables, lookup & reference formulas and know how to create basic Excel-Macros
  • Eager to learn and the ability to build relationships
  • Proactive and willing to run the extra mile
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience working with SAP required, Salesforce is an asset
  • Capacity for learning new systems and skills quickly  
  • Solid understanding of business operations., able to see the big picture
  • Ability to connect numbers and data with the business
  • Critical thinking and improvement driven personality
