Scope

Based within the European Shared Service Center in Prague the Collection Accountant is responsible for the maintenance of customers’ accounts by ensuring collections on time and solving queries. This role is performed in close cooperation with the credit management and the countries of responsibility in order to minimize the risk taken on outstanding receivables. We are searching for a new colleague covering France to join our Collection team.

Responsibility
  • Organizing an efficient cash collection process in France
  • Monitor incoming payments on a daily basis, secure all payments are allocated to open AR positions & cleared
  • Carry out proactive actions with collections in order to avoid and reduce overdue
  • Monitor open queries and follow up on disputes
  • Secure compensation of AR with AP items
  • Reconciliation of open balances with customers and proper follow up to clean up the balance
  • Sorting the customer documents arriving to SSC (from local P.O.Boxes) and securing all documents have proper landing spots/owners
  • Monitor Cash in transit account for Incoming payments
  • Reporting, e.g. aging reports, etc.
  • Communicating with stakeholders (Customers, KAMs, and Credit Insurers/Brokers)
  • Preparing required documents for External auditors
  • Internal control standards

Education And Related Experience
  • Bachelor degree - ideally (but not limited to) economics, business or finance related;
  • Experience in finance/collection/accounting processes/ or customer-oriented role, interest in further development in the area
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Good hands on with MS office tools, especially Excel, SAP experience is advantage
  • Analytical, detailed oriented, focused, responsible approach, enjoy following processes and guidelines
  • Very good communication skills, capability of understanding customer needs, emotional balance and mature personality
  • Positive mental attitude, out of box thinking, common sense
  • Team working with responsible and proactive approach to work
  • Ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment where deadlines have to be met
  • Ability to recognize and promote automated solutions
