Based in Prague, the Cash Application Teamlead is responsible for managing a team of Cash application specialists that are working for EMEA region. Main task of the team is to secure that all Incoming payments are allocated to proper AR sub-ledgers & later on cleared. All the activities of the team are implemented in collaboration with:

  • Collection and credit management department in Prague
  • Accounts payable/treasury department in SSC in Poland
  • Treasury department in The Netherlands

Cash application activities must stick to internal policy in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.


Key areas of responsibility:

  • Securing that all Incoming payments are booked on time and allocated to correct open invoices
  • Process different activities regarding cash application: Direct debit, refund run, process Bill of Exchange, Cheques, RIBA
  • Prepare report of unallocated cash, AR aging/claims, DSO
  • Leading a team of 4 people
  • Coach & develop team, training new employees
  • Ensure accurate data is applied by the team to all transactions according to the defined procedures
  • Propose changes to processes
  • Be able to back up some members of the team if needed
  • Best practice sharing within the overall business
  • Understanding of end-to-end process within micro process and how it ties into the OTC structure
  • Support project initiatives, including active participation if required

Education And Related Experience
  • University degree
  • 2 years experience related to team management + 2 years related to process experience
  • Good understanding of sales and F&A processes to handle methodologies and standard and non standard situations
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Good Excel skills & analytical capability
  • Fluent in English, other European language is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, clear and direct, positive mental attitude
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, ability to motivate, develop and influence
  • Out of box thinking
  • Proactive behavior in order to resolve problems & queries with analytical and efficiency focus
