Purpose Of The Position

As Business Development Manager for Europe, you are the linking pin between our content providers, external agencies and TP Vision Smart TV.

  • European Smart content business planning/development, partner engagement and support within TP Vision
  • Identifying and evaluating content providers and application developers to integrate suitable digital services for our Smart TV platform
  • Designing a business model and legal conditions that lead to strategic partnerships with our existing content providers but also generating possibilities for new content providers to align
  • Contract negotiation with content providers
  • Partnership management with all aligned partners
  • Maintaining good contacts with agencies that align with the buyers of advertisements and driving revenue growth
  • Being responsible for the certification (process) of the “special apps”
  • Acting like a bridge between Architects and technical partners (payment, advertising, recommender, etc.)
  • Defining specific Smart Content technology roadmaps and benefit know how directions
  • Maintaining the right content (prefill, ads, apps) on the TVs and report and analyse on usage of apps and features
  • Funnelling all input from the field regarding apps and Smart TV features, get it assigned and track to conclusion. Reporting and communicating these outcomes within TP Vision and towards the consumers
  • Driving Revenue towards cost Neutral by focusing on premium apps
  • Managing all resources and smart TV operations budget and provide accurate management reports
  • Reporting on budget/project status, managing running projects within operations
  • Data analysis to ensure keep track on costs, learn and save on costs
  • Initiating new features to increase revenue and add customer/client value

Education And Related Experience
  • Master Degree in Business Administration, International Business Management, Marketing or similar or has reached this level through another form of training or experience
  • 5-10 years of Consumer Electronics product experience in a technical or business development position
  • Detailed understanding of all technologies and adjacent spaces relevant for modern Smart TV industry
  • Professional knowledge of Smart TV Trend/Business Development/Certification/Validation
  • The ability to bring income and save cost on Market Introduction process and use it to timely create the Product introduction deliverables
  • Expert in explaining Smart TV contents, features to customers and stakeholders
  • Understanding of consumers segmentation
  • Good negotiation skills and experience
  • Experience in partnership management
  • The ability to see new opportunities and act pro-actively
  • Good communications skills in English are a must have, Dutch is a plus
