• New venture focuses on needs of players in the healthcare market
  • TP Vision pioneer in creating holistic and innovative healthcare entertainment solutions
  • Philips EasySuite + range is dedicated to the healthcare market

Amsterdam, 11th October 2012 – Today, TP Vision announced that the company is diversifying its Hospitality TV business into the healthcare market. The Philips EasySuite+ range, which TP Vision announced today, is the first step towards an improved healthcare entertainment offering. EasySuite+ offers dedicated features for the healthcare market and will be available in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2012. In addition to EasySuite+, a small size IPTV solution (22” PrimeSuite) is also launched, responding to the specific healthcare market needs.

Understanding and meeting healthcare needs
“TP Vision always aims to fully understand and meet customers’ needs. Therefore it was a logical step to establish a venture within our Hospitality TV unit that focuses on the healthcare market,” explained Scott Housley, Managing Director TP Vision Hospitality TV.

Scott Housley continued: “We want to offer TVs optimised for healthcare facilities and also establish a comprehensive hardware and software offering. We invite system integrators, app developers and value-added service providers to join our initiative to create an integral entertainment offering for hospitals and nursing homes.”

EasySuite +: a dedicated TV offering for the healthcare market
As the first range that is optimised for use in healthcare facilities, TP Vision brings the Philips EasySuite+ TVs to market. This range of LED TVs combines low total cost of ownership with a wide range of specific features for the healthcare market. They come with a choice of white or black cabinets that are designed to blend into the interior of healthcare facilities making the technology less obtrusive and they meet the requirements of hospitals and nursing homes. For example, the clean, simple and hygienic remote control of one TV can never inadvertently switch channels on another TV close by – which is often the case with ordinary TVs. All TVs featuring Healthcare Mode have a special headphone socket to minimize noise disturbance. The socket is also compatible with pillow speakers. TP Vision can even provide all the relevant software required to link up easily with nurse call systems. Also, the special hospitality features like MyChoice and SmartInstall help generate additional revenue and reduce maintenance and service costs thereby significantly reducing total cost of ownership.

The EasySuite+ range will be available in 22”, 26”, 32” and 42” across Europe, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand and Africa and will be available in the fourth Quarter 2012.
