Keep up with the latest Olympic and Euro info direct on Philips TVs

Amsterdam, Netherlands, June 11th, 2012 – With the summer of 2012 proving one of the biggest ever for major sport events, TP Vision is offering sports fan the easiest way to keep up to date with the latest results as well as all the background info and stats via a dedicated sports app.

The free Euro app, available now, provides the latest Euro news including tables, fixtures & results as well as interesting Euro-related tidbits such as the stadiums, history of the championship, info about the teams and stars playing. The latest information will be provided by the Polish Press Agency providing a comprehensive details of all of the latest football goings on, direct to the TV.

The app will run in parallel to a Euro Football quiz app to test your knowledge about the championship as well as teams and players involved. The multiple choice questions are asked based on photos, teams, strips, coaches and stars.

Once the Euros have come to an end and England have lifted the trophy the news app will transfer to the London Olympic games app to keep the world up to date with all of the latest Olympic news.

This will include all the games news including medal tables, schedule and a full list of events and results. It will also go further and include interesting info about the games themselves, including a history of the games, news for tourists such as infrastructure as well as info on the Olympic venues.

Infographics on some Olympic disciplines will also be available so the info can be digested in a more interesting way.

The Euro football app is available now free of charge on all Philips TV Smart TVs and it will transfer to the Olympic app at the end of the Euro championship.
