Amsterdam, March 27th, 2014 –TP Vision introduces its new Philips 6000 range. Each of these Smart TVs (6100, 6300, 6400, 6500, 6600, and 6700 series) offers a combination of advanced TV features including brilliant picture quality, 3D-TV, different distinguished finishes and Ambilight. As a result, customers can choose a Philips TV tailored to their needs. The Philips 6000 Smart TVs will be on sale from the second quarter of 2014 in Europe and Russia.

Slim, chic design

The 6000 series applies high-grade materials such as glass and metal and features various frameless and ultra-narrow bezel designs in white, silver and black. The elegant slim sets sit on an open stand creating a floating effect.

Advanced picture quality

The dual-core powered 6100 and 6300 series Philips TVs deliver brilliant picture quality in bright and vivid colours. Fast moving scenes are displayed fluently and the images are crisp and sharp. In addition Micro Dimming creates a high contrast with deep blacks and bright whites. From the 6400 series upwards, the Philips TVs feature Micro Dimming Pro, which adds information about the ambient light conditions to the dimming algorithm. This allows Philips TVs to dynamically adapt the LED backlight intensity and deliver the highest possible contrast. A Perfect Motion Rate of 600 Hz ensures a natural and flicker-free TV experience even while watching super-fast action, gaming and sports scenes.

Enhanced Ambilight experience

The dynamic two-sided Ambilight glow of light around the Philips 6300, 6500, 6600, and 6700 models provides an impressively immersive TV viewing experience. Our experts have further expanded the Ambilight experience by adding a gaming mode and the downloadable Philips Ambilight TV app that creates the right mood for football matches. An integrated Hue control panel allows users to extend the Ambilight experience throughout the whole room*.

A broad variety of interaction options

The Philips 6000 series support Philips TV Remote app, Wi-Fi Miracast™ and SimplyShare to allow wireless streaming to and from mobile devices. This allows smartphones and tablets to be integrated easily with the TVs. MultiRoom viewing permits content to be streamed to a secondary TV anywhere in the house.
